About Kara:

I am new to the Boys & Girls Club, but very excited to be on the team! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in HR management, along with my SHRM-CP. I am also a licensed cosmetologist. I am originally from Michigan, but my husband and I PCS'd from Fort Bragg, NC to Fort Riley, KS at the end of 2020 with our two very spoiled dogs.

What do you like to do when not at work?

I like to take my motorcycle out and enjoy relaxing rides, work on cars with my husband, and go on hikes/adventures with the puppers.

What's your superpower?

Empathy and problem solving.

What's your favorite BGC kid quote?

I have not met any of the kids yet, but I hope to have one soon!

What do you hope our members take away from you?

My hope is that members and staff feel comfortable coming to me and know that I want to help as much as I can.
