What is the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan?

  • The Boys & Girls Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe, supportive environment where youth can learn, grow, and thrive. Through programs focused on academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character and citizenship, the Club helps young people build confidence, make positive choices, and develop the skills they need to succeed in school and in life. We have programs at all USD 383 Elementary schools, K-5th programs at Wamego Central, and our Teen Center serving 6th-12th grade.

What is the cost for After-School Programs?

21st Century Funded Sites (No monthly or membership fees)

Select schools are designated as 21st Century funded sites based on grants received and funding allocations. As a result, monthly program fees are waived for participants enrolled at these locations.

The following sites will continue to offer free after-school programming through 21st Century grant funding:

  • Bluemont

  • Northview

  • Teen Center

  • Woodrow Wilson

Monthly Program Fee Sites

The following sites will have a $175 monthly program fee per child:

  • Bergman*

  • Lee*

  • Oliver Brown

  • Theodore Roosevelt*

  • Ogden*

  • Wamego

  • Marlatt

  • Amanda Arnold

*We are working diligently with community partners to secure funding and hope to significantly reduce the cost to attend at our Title 1 sites that are no longer supported through the 21st Century grant program.  We encourage families who are interested in attending to enroll now, so we can confirm resources needed to operate the program. An update we be provided as soon as funding is confirmed.

Additional Fees

  • One-Time Annual Membership Fee: $45 per child – Covers each child's annual Boys & Girls Club membership and provides access to register for after-school, summer, and other Club programs during the membership year. Membership fees are not subject to scholarship rates and are due at the time of enrollment.

  • In-Service Day Fee: $25 per child, per day

Why the increase in prices this year?

  • As many of you know, the Boys & Girls Club has benefited from generous grant funding for nearly two decades. This summer, we learned that four of our grants were not renewed. While we have worked hard to minimize the impact on the families we serve, these funding changes have made it necessary to implement or increase program fees at several of our sites that were previously supported by grant funding. This decision was not made lightly. The adjustments are necessary to ensure we can continue providing safe, high-quality programs, maintain the level of staffing and services our youth deserve, and strengthen the organization's long-term financial stability. Mindy, our leadership team, and the Board of Directors have carefully reviewed and discussed these changes at length. Together, we have worked to determine the best path forward—one that allows us to continue delivering strong, consistent programming while remaining committed to serving our youth and families for years to come.

How do I enroll?

  1. Go to your MyClubHub Account or create a new MyClubHub account from our website.

  2. Select program registration and create a program registration 2026-2027 for your youths school.

  3. Complete all the way through to the payment page to secure a spot and connect your card to the recurring billing or to be fully registered on the waitlist.

Are there scholarships available?

Yes! A limited number of scholarships are available to reduce program costs for eligible families. You can apply for scholarships through MyClubHub during registration. All applications are reviewed by the BGC administrative team and are based on household income and household size. Additional support is available for qualifying families through KanCare or Military benefits. Select these options in MyClubHub and complete all required documentation for review. All applications must be fully completed to be considered. Incomplete applications may delay approval.

What does it mean if my child is placed on the waitlist?

Our team is made up of dedicated professionals, community members, and many K-State students who return to Manhattan later in August. We work diligently to recruit, screen, interview, and complete thorough background checks for all staff before they begin working with Club members. This process helps ensure we have the appropriate staffing in place to provide safe, high-quality programming.

We encourage all families to complete registration and join the waitlist if a site reaches capacity. As soon as staffing availability allows us to increase enrollment, we will contact families to confirm their child's registration.
