Update on Closure- 3.25.20

Posted Wednesday 25, 2020

Dear Boys & Girls Club Parents and Families,

There is nothing more important to the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan than the safety of our members. We have been closely monitoring developments associated with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). Following the decision of USD 383 Manhattan-Ogden, in which the majority of our satellite program facilities are located, to close until the end of the school year, Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan will likewise be closed at all satellite locations, including its Wamego locations, until further notice.

Additionally, the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan has been in communication with Riley County Health Department (RCHD). The determination at this time is for our 220 S. 5th Street Site to also remain closed for the time being. Our Board of Directors continues to monitor the KDHE and CDC recommendations and we will keep you updated as this situation progresses.

Please understand that this situation is unlike any other we have seen. Our top priority is the safety of our children and our thoughts are with the families who are struggling to make plans during this time of closure.

Our Full-Time staff will continue to report to work, however, our office will remain closed to the public. Please follow us on our Social Media Pages @Bgclubmanhattan for activities and ways to stay connected with our staff. If you have any questions during this time of closure, please give us a call at 785-539-1947.

Thank You!

Trent Jones
Executive Director
